Ebbe Gehl of the dynamic design duo Nissen and Gehl captured in a moment focusing on a design is continuously developing new and innovative designs for Naver Collection, with a background as a cabinet maker and studies in art, design and architecture it following let to launching a design studio with Soren Nissen. Together they have contributed with a long list of designs recognized and awarded for their uniqueness and contribution to modern contemporary design. Nissen and Gehl has played a big part in making Naver Collection a household name in their home country of Denmark. Ebbe continues to take an active hands on approach in developing new models ongoing.

SAY HELLO TO ELLE
I closed my eyes and imagined a chair that personified beauty. I began to sketch, draft and model a chair whose form fully followed function. I moved on by taking away additional material and smoothing out the edges. I slowly arrived at a very slender chair that rationally used wood components. The chair was exceptionally comfortable. Sitting on its wooden seat felt like sitting on a padded one. Elle table followed the same concept adopting a more downplayed aesthetic in order to ensure complementarity with different chairs.

Its carefully modelled yet downplayed aesthetic ensures complementarity with different chairs. Elle is produced by using five-axis CNC milling, classical carpentry, and hand-finishing techniques. It is engineered to use a minimal amount of solid wood material and joinery to obtain optimal structural strength.
